Innovation Week

The Innovation Week is a 5-day program organized by MG Sustainable Engineering in connection with companies and universities, uniting young talent with different stakeholders .

The event runs with a mission of developing bright ideas into concepts in addressing the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.  An intensive 5-day course connect companies and a group of 15 – 20 promising students and young professionals through challenges, lectures and technical visits .

Highlights

  • Key lectures on topics related to Sustainability, Renewables, Circular Economy from international experts
  • Development of transversal skills through individual pitch, groupwork and presentations
  • Technical visits to local companies and facilities for interactive learning
  • Fostering team spirit across Europe within a wide network of universities

Innovation Week 1.0

  • When and Where: 31st January to 4th February, 2022.
  • Who: 15 participants – students and young professionals from Sweden, Poland and Slovenia with the interest in solar industry joined the event to share smart ideas and to be part of creating innovative and sustainable future.

  • Solar Thermal in the Food Sector
  • Solar Vision  2050
  • Visit to Absolicon Solar Collector’s factory.
  • Challenged to developing smart ideas in teams.
  • Fostering team spirit and networking, including social events after hours.
  • Solar Innovation Certificate (workload equivalent to 2 ECTS).
  • Visit Sweden’s largest concentrating solar thermal field at Högslätten.

Innovation Week 2.0

  • When and Where: 9-13th September, 2022
  • Who: 16 participants from not only Swedish universities but also from other countries like Germany, France, Portugal, Mexico.

  • Visit to Absolicon Solar Collector’s factory.
  • Solar Thermal in Food & Brewery Sectors
  • Solar PV vs. Solar Thermal
  • Fostering team spirit, including social events after hours.
  • Solar Innovation Certificate (workload equivalent to 2 ECTS).
  • Visit to Sweden’s largest concentrating solar thermal field at Högslätten.
  • Visit to Härnösand district heating facility.
  • Sharing out-of-the-box ideas that address challenges with the focus on solar thermal and renewable energy systems applied to industries.

Innovation Week 3.0

  • Who: 16 participants from different universities from Sweden, Italy, Poland and Denmark
