MG Sustainable Engineering had the pleasure ofattending Energimässan: Future of Energy, Sweden’s largest and most dynamic meeting place for future energy solutions, held in Stockholm on May 21–22.
Four fairs came together under one roof – Stockholm Smart City, Infrastruktur och Nordic Mobility, and hashtag#Energy Fair – bringing together more than 250 exhibitors and 200 speakers. The event served as a hub for leading voices to share groundbreaking ideas, explore the latest innovations in energy systems, and shape the future of our cities to become smarter and more sustainable.
We were especially inspired by the emphasis on flexibility markets and energy storage services, which emerged as essential components for building a responsive and reliable energy system in the face of growing demands and variability.
Nevertheless, the event also highlighted the critical need to recognise the role of heat in the energy transition. While electrification is a powerful tool, it is not a one-size-fits-all solution. Grid limitations and system-level burdens remind us that diverse pathways—including solar thermal energy solutions—must be part of the mix.
It was great to see partners like Dualsun Nordic showcasing their hybrid solar PVT solutions, success stories, and the expanding market opportunities for integrated technologies that efficiently deliver both heat and electricity.
Grateful for the many meaningful conversations and new connections with individuals and organisations at the forefront of climate-smart innovation. Let’s keep driving the transition forward together.
